POSEIDON can receive and (when explicitly armed) transmit on regulated radio bands and can simulate networks. Use it only on devices and networks you own or have written authorization to test. Unauthorized use is a crime in most jurisdictions โ and not the point of this project.
POSEIDON ships safety-by-design: transmit-capable actions are gated behind a deliberate arm step, defaults are conservative, and identifying defaults are suppressed. Do not remove or weaken these gates. They exist to prevent accidental or unattended transmission โ they protect you as much as anyone nearby.
Tools like the WhisperPair probe (CVE-2025-36911) are built on top of published research and are intended as demonstration and self-check tools. If you discover a vulnerability using POSEIDON, follow coordinated disclosure: report it to the vendor and give them time to fix it before going public. Credit the researchers whose work you build on โ see the Credits page.
